Ethics is a wide range of moral values that shape individuals of what is right or wrong. In the medical field, medical ethics refers to the relationship between patients and physicians where their responsibility is the safety and security of their patients. This implies that physicians have the priority of treatment without overstepping their professional boundaries and not executing health ethical issues. This paper will present various programs that have ethical concerns and their impact on evaluation with a possible solution.
Prevention of Obesity
According to Gregory (2019), obesity has been influencing the world ever since 1980 up to the present. With the continuous increase in the number of people with obesity, in over seventy countries, the number is being doubled until recent statistics. Due to this, individuals are having less interactive and physical activities which leads them to have a lesser intake of energy. It is stated that in a population of 1.3 billion people, the user of tobacco is approximately considered as eighty-four percent and seventy percent of them reside in the low level of society. It was also elaborated that from the hundreds of countries, an assumption of ten million deaths by 2020 which are from the seventy percent of developing countries was described (Kumar, et al., 2014). From the study of Hall, et al. (2015), these statistics led to the birth of various preventive measures such as the implementation of high taxes on tobacco, lessen smoking advertisement, and many more. While for people who are unable to directly remove their tobacco addiction, it was prescribed that they find a more suitable way of a lesser intake of nicotine which leads to the Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS). But with the increasing number of ENDS users, ethical issues arose since, for some people, the use of ENDS is not a medium for quitting but rather it creates paths for people to be more addicted. This results in people implying the...
