In this paper, the World Values Survey is utilized in comparing the values of two countries. These are China and the United States. These two countries were compared on the aspect of religion. According to the results, only 2.6% of the public in China stated that religion is very important to them in their lives in comparison to 40.4% of the public in the United States. Also, 8% of the Chinese said that religion is rather important in comparison to 28.0% of Americans. In addition, 29.6% and 49.8% of the Chinese public mentioned that religion is not very important and not at all important respectively, compared to 18.2% and 12.7% of the American public respectively. The results of the survey are shown in Figure 1 below.
