Benefits of Doing Physical Exercise
Physical exercise is vital for human health. Most people find it challenging to include physical exercise during their busy schedule, mostly those having sedentary jobs. There more benefits gained from doing physical activities that most people do not know. Most individuals use physical exercise for weight loss. This is not the only benefit as there are many benefits someone gains from doing exercise, especially the health benefits. Physical exercise is able to reduce diseases such as hepatitis, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases. Most importantly, physical exercise improves quality of life. Also, the brains become very active and sharp.
Physical exercise reduces the risk of a heart attack. Permanente (p1), in his work, explains that activities done physically are essential for maintaining a good heart and the circulation system. Just as physical exercises strengthen the body muscles, the blood veins and arteries become strong, improving the blood circulation efficiency. Physical exercise strengthens the heart muscles hence improving the heartbeats. The heart is able to pump more blood in each beat. Thus, there are fewer heartbeats with efficiency blood circulation, which puts the heart beats under control. There is also evidence that, “physical exercise enables the body to form more blood vessels, which can circulate the blood in the body in case the normal blood pathways are blocked with fatty acids or other small arteries. Physical exercises are essential as it increases the release on anti-cholesterol in the body which is able to flash the clogging fatty acids in the arteries” (Thakur et al., p6). This is crucial as it reduces heart failure.
Physical exercise is able to maintain body weight. Obesity has become a challenge to many as they might not be able comfortable with it. Some people with obesity have developed various to maintain or reduce their massive bodies. Some have used measures such as restricting calorie foods in their diet programs. In research done by Murphy and his team (p4), suggested that diet restrictions are not mostly recommended on reducing weight programs as the clients might not be able to maintain the required calorie levels. Some may reduce calorie levels leading to other effects such as general body weakness. Physical exercises are the most recommended ones as they have very minimal risks and more benefits. The exercises are able to burn the calories and reuse it to the required levels. Petridou (p3) adds that apart from reducing physical exercises, 20 minutes of physical exercise a day is also able to minimize the risk of getting breast cancer, type 2 diabetes, and other cardiovascular complications.
