Early 1920s in the United State of America represents a time that great social, economic and political change was experienced in the country. The time is also known as the roaring twenties. It was a time of great progress for the citizens of the US. Many changes took place and the changes greatly affected the lives of those individual who lived in the country.
Culture change is one of the social changes that took place among the US individuals in the early 1920s. Men and women started to abandon the traditions of their parents and grandparents. For example, before the 1920s women were supposed to wear clothes that hid the shape of their bodies but in the 1920s women changed their mode of dressing where they experimented different types of clothes and most of them ended up wearing clothes that were body fitting and did not cover their legs.
Women also started drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes and they would do it in public. Therefore, depicting a change because such scenarios did not take place before the 1920s. Women also started getting employed which was uncommon thing because before the 1920s only men were mainly employed. The many hours that women could spend coking, washing and doing other jobs was were reduced during the 1920s because of the introduction of machines which made work easy.
The changes affected the lives of the women in that their demeanors began to be unmorally upright as they could engage in any kind of behavior. The level of prost...
