The historical topic on the Great Depression and the New Deal was interesting as it gave me an in-depth understanding of the prominent and catastrophic economic events in the history of the United States. The extent to which the economic crisis affected the American people was both informative and astounding at the same time. Millions of people lost their investments through the stock market crash, loss of businesses through saturation of products and reduced exports, loss of income through bank closure, and inadequate income distribution. It was upsetting that pain, suffering, and despair engulfed the country with no visible reprieve insight as President Hoover introduced measures that did nothing to provide relief.
