President Franklin Roosevelt initiated The New Deal as a series of programs, financial reforms, and regulations. The programs included laws by Congress and executive orders of the president during the first term of the presidency. The minority groups across the United States have undergone significant changes from the Great Depression. Notably, New Deal programs had numerous benefits and support to elderly groups, the youth, farmers, and unemployed individuals (Fishback, 2017). They included banking safeguards that resulted in an overall increase in the nation's GDP. Besides, the New Deal facilitated social security and political realignment that benefited the minority groups. National Recovery Administration, Federal Emergency Relief Administration, and Emergency Banking Act had numerous benefits to the minorities across the country.
