From the YAWP readings, what problems do you see with the positions put forth by Herbert Hoover and Huey Long?
With environmental changes occurring, do you think we could see another Dust Bowl in our lifetime? How do you think it will affect us personally, economically, and financially?
Does your family have any stories from the Dust Bowl years that have been passed down? If so, please share those with us.

I agree that hoover used a conservative approach; however, I'm afraid I have to disagree that he believed in not giving out handouts. That is a partial truth. He mentioned that, only with ordered liberty, through freedom to the individual and equal opportunity to the individual, will his economic initiative be recognized to spur the economy forward. He believed that America belonged to a particular race. I concur that Huey long counter responded that wealth and equal opportunity should be for all. I believe in the importance of government assistance when necessary.
