Unforgiven (1992) is one of the outstanding films by Clint Eastwood that portrays William Munny as an aging killer and outlaw who takes a job after he had ventured into farming. At one point, Schofield Kid had to work collaboratively with the protagonist to collect the bounty on the heads of cowboys, who had mutilated the face of a prostitute. The town’s sheriff, Bill Daggett, beats Munny, influencing the prostitutes to take care of him.
Besides, Munny is tortured and attempts to live with the past because, in every encounter, people consider him a cold-blooded killer rather than a pacifist father and pig farmer. He endures the shame until he discovers Ned’s murder that makes him thin of executing revenge. The fever that the character encounters is a form of rebirth. Although Munny is a killer, it is a way of revenging against the death of innocent individuals. In a town that the sheriff had prohibited possessing firearms, any form of retribution is considered a trouble-making act.
