Conflict theorists posit that the educational system is the root cause of social class structure. Learning institutions deploy systems and programs that create social division in academic performance. Through soft coercion and implementation of varied skills and values, educational systems employ devise programs and processes that shape the academic reality of the students. In this context, students from upper-class families receive high-quality education and perform well, thus having access to high-paying jobs, thus dominating the society. On the other hand, students from low socioeconomic backgrounds do not have access to high-quality education, and therefore, perform poorly, reducing their chances of securing a job. Thus many people from poor backgrounds become looped in the vicious cycle of poverty, leading to the emergence of the low social class. In this approach, the educational system extensively contributes to social class structures. Statistics show a great correlation between the theoretical and historical debates on the role of the educational system in class inequality (Croizet, Jean-Claude, et al.).
