Abortion Should be Legalized
Abortion, sometimes called pregnancy termination, is a procedure to end a pregnancy and can be done by administering medicine or surgery. It is a controversial exercise that has elicited heated debates on whether it is a good practice morally and health-wise. Some scholars and the general public think that abortion is a good thing that the law should recognize, while others think it is bad and should be illegalized. Scholars have researched this issue in great detail, but the findings are not uniform because the practice has pros and cons of almost equal measures. However, medical abortion is good because it saves the mother's life, helps young mothers finish their studies if they accidentally become pregnant, and gives the mother a chance to be prepared psychologically and financially to raise a child. This will put them in a better position to care for their children. They would also have matured enough to raise a child morally.
Carrying a pregnancy and raising a child needs one to be prepared psychologically and financially. The nine months of pregnancy have several challenges that may make one give up on the way (Bento et al., 795). It also needs to be financially stable to pay for any medical emergencies because pregnancies are delicate and to buy baby stuff. After a mother gives birth, they still need to be stable psychologically and financially. A baby cannot talk and thus needs commitment to take care of them.
