Organizational Citizenship Activities (OCB) are optional, above-and-beyond behaviors that contribute to the organization's success but are also discretionary and not immediately or openly acknowledged by formal incentive systems. It is true that, for companies to stay on top of their game, individuals who are less vulnerable to occupational stress, even in the face of so many strains, will be required to be highly devoted to the organization's goals and vision. Employees display the typical forms of citizenship behaviors whether they operate in a group, such as a marketing team, or temporarily, such as when they work on a temporary job assignment. There are different types of organizational citizenship behaviors such as Altruism, politeness, sportsmanship, civic virtue, and conscientiousness. When a person is not on an official job, civic virtue is their behavior when representing the Firm they work for or are connected to. This article will discuss the organizational citizenship behavior experienced in JPMorgan Chase bank and compare their interpersonal citizenship behavior.
Employees at JPMorgan Chase bank are always willing to operate with honesty and integrity, treat their customers fairly, and use sound judgment when making a decision. In this bank, employees focus on personal accountability and ownership as their top goals. They always conduct themselves in the most ethical manner possible. This entails always doing the right thing and speaking out, even when it is difficult or inconvenient. A firm's integrity and reputation are safeguarded by employees' commitment to ethical business practices, fostering a safe, healthy, productive, and collaborative work environment. JPMorgan Chase emphasizes citizenship behavior as a component of work effectiveness. The bank promotes OBC among its workers by ensuring a better workplace and stopping them from engaging in unproductive conduct that might lead to bank collapse (Pufpaff and Dennis P, 299). JPMorgan encourages workers to be good citizens to improve their work experience. It also motivates employees to assist one another and keep one another in check. As a result, the Firm would reap more significant benefits.
In the JPMorgan Chase bank, various employees department promotes citizenship behavior by undertaking their responsibilities and other extra activities. For instance, Managers have a higher level of accountability and must lead with integrity and support the Firm's ethical culture.
