The Shareable Future of Cities
Climate change is becoming an overwhelming problem throughout the world, and everyone indeed needs to do more than we are already doing in terms of reducing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. While a vast majority of individuals tend to assume that the easiest way to do this is to replace fossil fuels with clean sources of energy, it is not possible to produce enough clean energy for an organizing society in which the number of people living in cities is expected to increase in future (West).
I agree with the video that all the cities we are building are opportunities because every city plays a significant role in determining the amount of energy consumed by its inhabitants. Transportation is a significant source of carbon emissions, and according to research, denser places tend to have lower emissions...
