In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee uses various literary elements.
An example of this is foreshadowing. Foreshadowing is when the author tells what in the story early. In most cases, it comes at the start of a story. It enables the reader to have hints on the events which will occur. The writer uses this literary device in various ways, which may include events of the plot, conversations between characters, and also in the change of settings. Foreshadowing attracts the attention of the reader by creating suspense in a story.
