Euthanasia refers to the painless killing of a patient who is suffering from a disease or a condition that is incurable by withholding extreme medical measures. The goal of euthanasia is to prevent the person from continued pain and suffering. The practice is illegal in most of the countries for some reasons. Various Christian denominations are opposed to euthanasia. The argument is that God gives life and as human beings, we are created in the image of God. As such, there should be nothing that should interfere with the life of a human being until natural death.
