Comparative Analysis of Oresteia, Sappho and Antigone Texts
The Poets have some and controversial thematic essay expressions to captivate their audience attention by their lyrical and epic poetic techniques and styles applied in their literary works. The Sappho’s, Oresteia and odyssey, works have different themes. The Sappho’s theme in her works and its difference from that of the Odyssey. Sappho is the only female writer from the ancient Lesbos with the left literary work. In the world dominant by male voices, Sappho's works are extraordinary managing to acquire educational recognition for the composition of her wonderful artistic works in ancient and modern times (Mariscal, Lucía, and Romero 25). She uses women as the main aspects of her works while the Odyssey articulates a story of a man returning to his homeland after a manly war in Troy. In this case, three are two conflicting themes and stories from the books. It is also evident that the environment of Sappho’s articulations or literary works is relatively emotional, gloomy and sentimental while reflecting her feelings of rage and melancholy.
Conversely, Oresteia is a story of a celebrated King of Argos, Agamemnon, and his son Orestes. The king was the commander of all Greek armies during the Trojan War. He seized and damaged Toy, although his fate became worse later. Antigone, however, starts with two brothers Eteocles and Polyneice, who are battling for the Kingship of Thebes. These two sons of Oedipus succumbed in the battle, and Creon, their successor, chose to burry king Eteocles and leave Polynieces's body on the battlefield because he led a foreign troop. His sister, Antigone, buried him anyway.
In every community where there is a system of rule, opposition voices must be present. Therefore, a conflict of interest due to different opinions must also take center stage leading to war and injustices. In all these texts, this ideology is portrayed.
