The surrealism movement has grown significantly since the early 1920s. It has influenced artists as well as filmmakers. However, in the modern-day, surrealism is not as present in the film as it is in art. Although individuals such as David Lynch have kept this art form alive in films, it is still unpopular. In this paper, the author applies “The Manifesto of Surrealism” to Entr’acte by Rene Clair.
