Abstract On Phobias
It is inherent in any human being to have some degree of fear about something or someone. There comes a time however, when such fear goes overboard and becomes a phobia. An abnormal display of fear can therefore be described as a phobia. Phobias are a psychological occurrence that develop as a result of consistent or repeated re-enactment of certain things that result in an over amplification of certain fears. They go back as far as in the ancient times, when Greek physician, Hippocrates, did a lot of works to with phobias and their connection to the mind or brain. There are triggers in the mind and the environment, which result in the occurrence and prevalence of phobias in people.
