To what extent is it important to understand and know the history of the Near East and its numerous empires in order to understand the history of the ancient Greeks, the Roman Republic, and the early Roman Empire?
The collection of cultures and behavior of people in Greece has a close network and origin in the Near East. The history ranged from the building structures, the appearance and similarity in religion, and the advent of civilization. This was based on studying the way of life and connected the hybrid system portrayed in Greece and other related cultures. According to Higgins (2013), civilization began in Egypt and later influenced how people lived and governed. There are exciting sections of this history, which patches together to reflect the world's other regions. The building, like pyramids, was major influenced by ancient architecture in Rome. The Roman Empire and Republic, which included the old church, borrowed much of their building technology from Egypt. Though Egypt had the building that depicted pyramids, the same idea spread to establishing structures across the Italian region. Greece, which was the epicenter of religious spread, did not have any form of buildings. They borrowed their technology from the South and East. In the East, Egypt was again the reference example to them. In his book, Noegel (22) denotes that most archeologists gathered information from the two regions of Greece and the Near East to ascertain if there were similarities that would lead to the conclusion that there was a direct influence on the spread of civilization.
