Today, most organizations are evolving to increase their profit margins, increase employee and customer satisfaction, or have a more fulfilled workplace. As these changes occur, there is a tendency to experiencing chaos, which disrupts the order in the workplace. This paper addresses the importance of balancing chaos and order as well as evolution and revolution. Unlike evolution, which is continuous innovation in firms, revolution is the discontinuous jumps of opening up firms to change. According to Dametew and Abab-Ethiopia (2019), when firms experience a prolonged growth known as evolutionary innovation, there are usually very modest adjustments. However, revolution brings forth major upheavals in organizations. Failure to balance the two would result in stagnant growth in companies. Organizations should know when to lengthen evolution and hold up revolutions, like when profits increase.
