In particular, psychology plays a significant role in individuals’ lives. Currently, rapid technological advancements influence physical therapy. Physical therapy is a field that focuses on how to improve body functions and movement to promote better living and ease the pain. In that light, physical therapists are medical professionals that specialize in helping people to manage pain, improve movement abilities, and recover from injuries. The article discusses how technology has enhanced rehabilitation through the use of supportive wearables, smart wearables, and inclusive clothing. The most significant thing about the use of wearables in physical therapy is that assist users to engage in their daily activities in distinctive environments (Lobo et al. 648). The paper reflects on how my career in physical therapy can be improved using wearables as discussed in the article.
Physical therapy is a highly dynamic field. On that note, it means that technology will significantly affect how physical therapists provide rehabilitation services. Wearables are defined as objects that move and interface with users, including smart devices. For example, inclusive clothing involves fasteners and altered fit. I think that technology will continually change physical therapy for the better (Lobo et al. 649). Traditionally, it was challenging to find the best clothes for individuals with injuries or disabilities.
