One of the most recent public health events was the prevention of sexual transmission and the successful invention of viral suppression of HIV/AIDS treatment in July 2018. The World Health Organization strives to avail and increase the accessibility to antiretroviral therapy, HIV testing, and monitoring of viral load (Avert, 7). This goes a long way to improving the clinical management of this viral infection as a critical public health priority to prevent and curb HIV-related mortality and morbidity.
