A continuous shot is also referred to as One-shot. This is because it is meant to appear as a single and uninterrupted take even in the final edit of the film project. Most continuous shots are subjected to blockage when the filmmaker decides to take the whole duration of the scene. Film makers believe that a great longshot does not always stay in one type of shot throughout the scene even though they are categorized as continuous shot in edits (Yale film analysis, 2019).
