It is easy to tell how a person is from the way they dress, the types of films they watch and the type of art they admire. Therefore, various types of art are used by different cultures to identify themselves. This is achieved by unique branding and use of a unique pieces of art. For instance, painters work mainly explores various concepts of identity which includes gender and culture. Many people apply art is fashion to highlight a sense of identity to other communities. African are highly known for branding themselves through fashion and clothing. People in different levels of leadership in a community use different type of clothing to identify themselves. For instance, rich African individuals practice unique mode of dressing unlike low income earners who mostly employ almost similar dress code. It is correct to state that people identify themselves through use of different types of clothing (Caesar, H. 2017). For instance, Greeks’ type of clothing is highly known by many people around the earth. Ancient Greeks used to wear simple garments which were made from fabric materials and holes cut out for the head. Currently Greek still apply their ancient type of cloth making procedures in making modern style clothing. In Greece people wear different types of clothing according to geographic location and beliefs. The same applies to Roman whose identity from fashion design highlights that they have a unique culture. Roman communities have different type of clothing and it is easy to spot difference between various communities. Different cultural activities practiced by romans employ a unique method of dressing which highlights a sense of self identity to the rest of the world. History indicate that many people from various fields have been consumed by the relationship between clothing and social status. This is evident because, purchase and ensuing display is determined by price and social status. Also, people are known of demonstrating their wealth through dressing where by the proof of wealth is noted on the prices of cloths they purchase. Different type of clothing have different colors which help in categorizing people’s identity. For instance rococo-noble-color highlights luxury and a very enjoyable life. This have been facilitated by artists in the design industry who are continuously promoting cultural identity through arts. Additionally, many people around the world use different patterns on their clothes and textile to express their status to people around them. For instance, communities in Africa have special patterns for individuals who are yet to be married which is different from the type of pattern used in making chiefs and elders clothing. In neue galarie, the portrait of Adele, Bloch-bauerr has a golden color and a different texture. This highlights that different patterns are used to highlight people’s status because the piece of art does not suit every person and therefore only the selected few people can acquire it (Caesar, H. 2017).
