Human Immunodeficiency Virus(HIV) is a disease that has claims millions of lives all over the world. The first case of HIV was reported in 1920 in Congo. It is believed that the virus could have been transmitted from chimpanzees to humans. .An individual named Timothy Brown was diagnosed with the virus in 1995, went through a series of treatments, and miraculously got cured after some time.
Tim Ray Brown was diagnosed with HIV and lived with for ten years after being subjected to some inhibitors. However, after some time, doctors realized that his red blood cell count was low and that he was suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)(Timothy 2). He had to undergo four rounds of chemotherapy with some breaks in between the weeks. Later on, a team of doctors that were treating him recommended a stem cell transplant.
