In “Memories of Underdevelopment”, the production team highlighted the protagonist, Sergio, through the presence of implicatory props such as nice furniture, artworks, and the overall architecture of his base. Outside his home, the settings are set in a mood of socialism rising, and revolutionized motivation. Sergio’s superiority is featured in the actor’s expressions. The filming of this film made use of cinematography techniques that carefully manipulated how the viewer sees the character through metaphor.
