For many people, the one thing they would wish to be granted would be the ability to retain information they have read and store it in their long-term memories for long periods of time. As we all know, knowledge is the cornerstone of progress and success so it is always important to retain information to be able to use for future reference as you may not be able to access the current physical reference in future. It is for this reason that it is good to have techniques to assist in retaining information in the brain for long. Here are some of these techniques.
Summarization: This is simply where an individual makes short notes or summaries on every topic or page they read. This short notes or short summaries can help the individual to understand the whole context under study by understanding the topics individually as he continues reading.
