Reflecting on the seven gender-related videos for Module 2, write a well-organized and well-supported essay in which you help challenge society’s limiting gender narratives.
A well-organized essay has a beginning, middle, and an end. The beginning, or introduction, should include an opening sentence to grab your reader’s attention. Follow the opening sentence with a brief background on the topic or situation. In this case, it would be an explanation of gender roles, stereotypes, myths, and/or controls in society today. The last sentence of the introduction is the thesis statement. The thesis states the main point of the essay, which in this case, would be a statement affirming what needs to be done to limit gender narratives in society today.
A well-supported essay includes supporting points, details, and examples. For this essay, you must decide the best way to organize the body of the paper. Will you have a paragraph for each change? Will you divide the body of your paper into three or more paragraphs, one for each point? In any case, each body paragraph must support (explain) your reasoning (rationale) using specific details. Each body paragraph must have a topic sentence that states the main point of the paragraph.
The conclusion typically summarizes the main points of the essay and/or closes with a lasting impression that connects the reader to their world. In this case, where is our society headed? Is it too late for change?
Be sure to proofread your essay and edit for proper grammar, punctuation, diction (word choice), and spelling, as errors in sentence skills will lower a final grade. A grade will be determined based on the Module 2 Case expectations and the Trident University General Education rubric for English.
Papers must be double-spaced in Times or Times New Roman font (12 cpi) with standard one-inch margins.
The first person "I" is not used in a formal essay, nor is the passive "you." In place of "you," "one" may be used.
This essay must include no less than SIX citations from the assigned background material for module 2. Citations are to be a combination of direct quotations and paraphrased quotations with or without the author's name. No other sources are to be used for this assignment.

A.Gender narratives play a special role in helping humans understand and define
their individual perspectives on gender.
B.Specifically, gender narratives discuss the intersection between an individual’s performance within society and the individual’s perception on gender. It follows that gender narratives are fluid because one’s perception on gender is likely to change due to experiences or interactions with different people. For example, a female student from a traditional family may ascribe to the philosophy that women have a role of submitting to their husbands. However, such a student may change her perception after attending a women’s studies class in college because the student may identify herself as a feminist.

II. Body
First Body Paragraph (The effect of society)
* Men and women are socialized (by the society) into diverse interpersonal directions.
* For example, women are encouraged to be socially connected while men are encouraged to be autonomous and independent.
* It is also critical that females tend to remember more vividly than males. Moreover, female tend to remember because of social reasons. Specifically, females tend to remember conversations, loved ones, and intimate relationships.
* On the contrary, men tend to remember political events, sporting activities, and their success stories. Therefore, the society influences men women differently making them remember differently and for different reasons.
Second Body Paragraph (2nd supporting point)
* Adult and adolescents men and women also have different cognitive lifestyles that represent masculine and feminine voices.
* Female voices tend to be focused on dependence on their social circles, belongingness, and have an ethical responsibility to care about others. As a result, women hate aggression and like to maintain friendships with their social circles.
* On the contrary, masculine voices tend to focus on unique skills, and accomplishments that make them distinct from others. In fact, men try to show how distinct they are by talking about their success stories in comparison to their peers.
* In short, the cognitive lifestyles of men and women are different because women prefer to resemble members of their social circles while men prefer to be unique from their peers.

* It is critical that the themes of males and females in gender narratives are different because men and women tend to remember different themes about the childhoods.
* For instance, adult females focus their narratives on their roles in relationships, important people in their lives, and struggles caused by threatened relationships in their lives. Additionally, female tend to remember about sibling rivalry, being misunderstood by parents, and their childhood friends.
