Choosing a "client"
After reading all the content on Phase 1: Formative Research ( page 1-100
Of attached coursebook) and reviewing the supporting material, please choose a “client” that YOU would like to work on for the rest of the semester:
The “client” must be either:
a) a small, local non-profit organization in your community or…
b) a local church in your community or…
c) a group on campus that needs some publicity.
d) a school group / PTO
NOTE: The non-profit organization or church cannot be part of a large, national, organization that has support, funds and structure coming from a larger level. (Examples: Bikes Not Bombs (Jamaica Plain); Fair Foods (Dorchester); School PTO; Town food pantry, local church, etc.).
Provide a summary of this "client"... who they are, what their mission in, their business model, how they raise funds, how well their web site is set up (and what the url is), what they have for events, what social media they use, etc. Then conclude with how you think a research plan will help them achieve their goals (include what their research needs are and how you think this could be achieved). I need to get a good feel for what the potential is to help them through research.
Outline style with bullets is fine or categories of paragraphs are acceptable formats.
Entire assignment should equate to between 1-1.5 pages.
