For the Session Long Project, apply the concepts from the background materials to your own personal workplace experiences. Instead of writing a paper for the SLP assignments in this course, you will create journal entries.
For this first SLP, review the background material, especially about person–job fit, personality, and attitudes. Then as you go about your work day, try to observe how these issues manifest or show themselves in your place of work. For example, you might notice that there is an excellent person–job fit for one of your coworkers and from what you have learned in the background material you now understand why. Or you might notice how a particular coworker’s personality showed itself in the way he or she reacted to something. Be creative in trying to notice what is happening around you at your workplace.
Before you submit your journal entries, review what you have written and added in-text citations from the background material as appropriate. Also, include a reference page at the end of your paper that gives the references that correspond to the in-text citations you used. For completeness, don’t forget to add a title page. (Tip: You should always include at least one high-quality peer-reviewed reference about a concept in the assignment. For example, one concept in this assignment is a person-job fit while another is employee attitudes.) Peer-reviewed journal articles are found in the Trident Online Library. They are rarely found by Googling a topic.

Individual Differences in the Workplace
Introduction
The transformation in the external, as well as the internal business environment, enhance the opportunities and challenges for the management to utilize the present resources; financial and human in an appropriate way. Therefore, organizational behavior plays a crucial role to accelerate organizational performance (UMLP, 2017). The paper discusses the session long project about the organizational behavior of a software company where I work. It examines how the coworkers interact with each other and the relationship between the boss and subordinates. The major emphasis will be on the work attitude, job fit, and personality and employee perception about working condition at my workplace. Moreover, it further correlates the theoretical understanding of organizational behavior in the case of my organization.
Discussion
After the evaluation of my working environment, it supports me to understand the negative and positive influences at the workplace. As per the job-fit, I analyzed that job-fit is vital to improving an individual’s performance because it encourages a person to work on his/her specialized skills and develops productive results that benefit the overall organizational profitability.
Work Attitude
The working attitude has significant importance in managing business relationships, which is largely dependent on the work environment and the gratitude of the workers (Di Fabio, Palazzeschi & Bucci, 2017). In the case of my organization, the work attitude is formal initially but it decreases with time due to the non-supportive attitude from colleagues and the higher management. The constant interference from the management is extremely annoying for me and other workers. Other than that, the chaos workplace creates more disturbance while focusing on my work that leads to undesirable behavior at workplace.
Learning Approach
The consideration on the organizational behavior emphasizes the utilization of learning approaches in an organization with effective attitude and value training that would support employees to build significant personality and skills related to the organizational demands, which reduces the performance barriers at the workplace. Hence, learning can be visual, audible and kinesthetic for each individual to sustain the competitive position in the business (UMLP, 2017). As per my organization, my supervisor is not concern about the training, whereas he utilizes the aggressive approach to send memos for a single mistake without any warning. Thus, it would be unfavorable overall staff to learn innovation and strategies by showing more commitment to a firm, whereas the staff required training to improve their skills.
Job Fit
Most of modern firms consider the job-fit and organizational fit approach when recruiting candidates due to its positive impression on job produc...
