Introduction
Over the years, the number of gay families has steadily increased from different parts of the world following the legalization of these families. Due to this, it has become easier for individuals to establish families and have children. In the past, gay parents shielded themselves and their children from the negative inspection from the members of the republic. However, nowadays the gay marriages have become accepted, and it is easy for individuals to start and manage their families.
In the United Kingdom today there are twelve thousand gay families, and the numbers are increasing in high rate. According to Ruth Hunt who is the Deputy Chief Executive of Stonewall, there is a greater possibility of gay families in the United Kingdom than ever before (SquarePegMediaEvents, 2014). She emphasizes that gay families are not a new phenomenon and says points that it is easier now to start a family since the adoption agencies are actively encouraging gay parents to come forward. This has also helped in changing the cultural perspective about gay families in the United Kingdom. She says that gay families have existed in the United Kingdom but what is being experienced now is greater levels of acceptance and more opportunities to establish these families.
Options for same-sex couples
With the legalization of the gay marriages many such couples, are willing to start their own families. There are various options available to the same-sex couples who wish to start a family.
