1 Prime reality is the question of whether or not God exists. It is all about whether there is a God or not and if the case, what does God look like.
2 When discussing the nature of the world around us, it is necessary to distinguish between physical reality and the non-physical (immaterial) reality. Physical reality is defined by either physics or physical laws. On the other hand, immaterial reality is all about what is not defined by physical laws, for instance concepts like the mind, character, spirits, the realm of God and Plato’s Forms (Kirschbaum & Hall, 2013).
3 Answering the question ‘what is a human being’ can be done by exploring three different cultural narratives that have been used by people to make sense of what they are as human beings. According to the material/physical narrative, humans are the most highly evolved residents of the earth’s ecosystem and a product of time, chance, evolution and survival. According to the spiritual narrative, human beings are spiritual, divine beings that have undergone incarnation in physical bodies for a time. According to the biblical narrative, humans are the deliberate creation of a personal God (McMurtry, 2015).
