In the pursuit of criminal justice, several mechanisms are employed to ensure the safety of the victim as well as that of the offender. Common among these mechanisms are jail sentence, probation, or parole. In either of these mechanisms, there is a direct influence, and from the society or the community where the offender hails from as well as where the victims are based. The community input in terms of how they perceive justice to have been served by either probation, jail term, or parole is key to the decision of undertaking either of the options by the respective institutions. This paper discusses the various findings in regards to probation community practitioners and parole community practitioners.
To discuss criminal justice and correctional practitioners, two functions come into place. The probation community practitioners and parole community practitioners. Within these practitioners, there are primary issues that come across. To start with is the question of the cause of crime and why people engage in crime in the first place. Secondly is how to correct those in crime and lastly is the challenge of dealing with the offenders at a community level. In discussing these issues one can draw a line between the facts and the traditional myths associated with criminal justice and correctional measures. This helps in the development of proper approach mechanisms when dealing with offenders at the community level.
Based on various research on matters of criminal justice and correctional practitioners, various facts are portrayed. To begin with, is the primary issue of the cause. Studies show that people with mental illness are more prone to crime as compared to those who are mentally well.
