Next, you will review the Procon.org Website to gather information. Then, you will engage in prewriting to examine your thoughts.
Part I - Prewriting: Follow the instructions below (Please be sure to follow all instructions) for this prewriting activity. Use complete sentences and adhere to standard rules of English grammar, punctuation, mechanics, and spelling.
1. Select one (1) of the approved topics from the www(dot)procon(dot)org Website and state your position on the issue.
2. From the Procon.org Website, identify three (3) premises (reasons) listed under either the Pro or Con section - whichever section opposes your position.
3.For each of the three (3) premises (reasons) that oppose your position on the issue, answer these "believing" questions suggested by Elbow:

The issue of gun control is one that divides opinions. Whenever the topic of gun control arises, the rhetoric is normally divisive with each side believing that their stance in the best. However, it is the innocent people that suffer. Horrific shooting massacres of innocent school children have put even more pressure on the authorities to implement stringent gun control measures but there is still no breakthrough. Majority of people believe that gun sale laws should be strict supported by gun safety legislation. I support this view because I believe that the fact that guns get into the hands of wrong people is because of lack of gun safety legislation.
