PROVIDE SUPPORT TO CHILDREN OR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED HARM OR ABUSE
In a working community, everyone should be a guide and guardian to each other in order to proliferate a flowing and joyful community. My own responsibility to children who have experienced harm or abuse is to share my own experience of a bigger world beyond the negative experiences. I must provide the space and time for them to feel protected and that their voice is heard. Everyone should share this space of being loved and accepted and that no harm or abuse will ever come from their guardians.
Supporting a person who has experienced harm and abuse is not an easy task. It involves gaining the trust of the person and then letting them freely share their deeper thoughts and perspectives about their issues. This is to prevent our own innate judgements and reflections so that we can avoid being too eager in blasting out our own emotions. We only want to protect and understand in order to dissolve the hate and negativity that comes with abuse and harmful actions. The
