Based on the statement, it is possible that what we feel when in conflict could help determine the choice we make. When we conflict with someone, we have to decide whether or not to react. For instance, if reacting will cause more problems, we can decide to ignore our feelings.
One of the misconceptions of emotions in conflict is that the other person is not capable of reconciliation. However, this misconception is often eliminated when two people decide to forgive each other with time (Halperin, 2015). Another misconception is that conflict cannot be resolved without gifts.
