Many beliefs and perceptions have developed regarding getting older; nevertheless, these perceptions and myths do not correspond to the facts about getting older; as a result, they end up creating discrimination toward older people. For example, the idea that youth is the prime time for creative endeavors and fruitful life has persisted despite being disproven. Productive people do not automatically become dependent the moment they turn 65 years old. The choice is the most crucial aspect to consider.
