Valpak Company needs a reliable position to ensure proper management and execution of PMO activities. Besides, it is also essential to make a position and recommend specific actions which would make the company achieve its goals, such as satisfying the customers and stakeholders through a sustainable system. The company needs an effective technology support system for transformation into an agile enterprise (Cobb, 2015). Therefore, the paper focuses on a formal position overseeing the company's projected goals through the IT department.
Program Management Office position
Adaptive program management is essential for managing processes, tools, and resources. A framework determines the project guidelines and implementation. A flexible framework should allow the company to adapt to different contingencies (Bergmann & Karwowski, 2018). The key frameworks under APM are Scrum, Kanban, and Agile. APM is substantial for Valpak due to the intended goals, such as improving the supporting technology. APM is an example of the nontraditional framework which considers teamwork and customer collaboration. The APM is also significant since it considers the customer demands and needs without depleting available resources. A framework is significant since it forms the basis of the project and balances demands, risks, and objectives. Therefore, the company's framework is critical in determining its success.
Analysis of the Frameworks
After considering the frameworks, it is also essential to analyze them and understand how they may be useful for executing the company strategies. The three available frameworks for APM are agile, Scrum and Kanban. Agile is a framework that main focuses on enhancing project profitability and the quality project process (Salameh, 2014). It saves different project elements and improves the quality throughout the project cycle. Lastly, the agile framework considers flexibility and adaptation of new changes to make the project successful. Kanban framework is also advantageous and focuses on reducing resistance and promoting quality. Regardless of the quality issues from Kanban, it is viable for projects that focus on technology adoption and improvement. Lastly, Scrum is also a suitable option since it considers the sprints and small deliverables during the project. With Scrum, adjusting the project and considering high-quality deliverables is easy. Therefore, the company has different and suitable frameworks which it can consider to ensure that the projected goals are timely and effectively achieved.
