Anthropomorphism, Colloquial Expressions, and Paragraph Structure as an Issue

The top three issues identified by the tutor are anthropomorphism, colloquial expressions, and paragraph structure. In regards to anthropomorphism, the tutor commented that I was giving life to non-living things, and in case, a paper. Another key issue commented on was my use of a colloquial expression, meaning I included a word that is normally used in normal conversations. The tutor also commented on my paragraph structure and recommended that I develop my paragraphs more.
The above issues raised by the tutor were quite surprising because I never imagined anthropomorphism to be a problem. I may probably have learned it before but I guess it never occurred to me when I was writing the paper that it would be a big problem. As for the colloquial expression, I never even noticed that it was there in the first place. I think it takes another person to see the issues present in a paper. The third issue of paragraph structure was expected. Given that this was a shortened version of the final paper, I did not take time to complete fully the paragraphs. Nonetheless, the comprehensive comments on paragraph structure are extremely valuable as I am going to incorporate them in the final paper.
