The working title of the project will be “The Necessary Components for Effective Organizational Structure” and will evaluate how structure may differ when working in either domestic or global organizations. The paper will provide an evaluation of communication strategies required for effective organizations and examine problem-solving and decision-making processes needed for the success of an organization. Finally, the project will offer recommendations about a leadership approach that could result in organizational effectiveness while justifying the selected strategy. Organizational structure often involves the creation of a hierarchy in a firm to assist business leaders in establishing the chain of command, departmental units, and the overall design or structure of a company (Billinger & Workiewicz, 2019). The structure of an organization is represented using an organizational chart that contains five key elements, including the chain of command, departmentation, delegation, job design, and span of control. This form of an organization defines the formal division, coordination, and grouping of responsibilities or job tasks. I intend to apply the knowledge gained from this project as a leader in my future organization to understand the basic arrangement or layers of a typical organization’s structure because it is important to acknowledge the roles of each segment of an organizational structure for effective operations of a firm.
