NCOCCC of operations comprises several operational skills sets that prepare leaders at every echelon to work when executing missions. They are based on Army doctrine and cover different areas intended to develop skills, abilities, and knowledge. Some of the primary regions include Multi-domain operations (land, air, cyber, sea, and space), large-scale operations, joint operations, troop-leading procedures, military decision-making processes, war-fight functions, and operational and mission variables. Defense support of civil authorities and other decisive action tasks require joint operations from start to finish. The army is trained, organized, and equipped to be one of the most decisive land forces. In order to execute such missions, the Army forces are required to work together with civil authorities and provide essential services. This case study analyzes the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear accident-response case, highlighting the performance of three war-fighting functions. Lack of a unifying factor can limit the success of a mission and increase casualties. In the Chemical Accident Operation, soldiers from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, 3rd platoon, and 22nd Engineer Clearance Company were involved in the search and rescue mission (Cpl., Scott. 2018). The state incident commander failed to unify the command of the forces.
