Assume that Activity A actually finished at 3 weeks, Activity B actually finished at 12 weeks, and Activity C actually finished at 13 weeks. Recalculate the expected project completion time. Which activities would you focus on in order to get the project back on schedule?

[date] Projects and activities need thorough planning and strategy application. Project management utilizes methods that calculate the effectiveness of a strategy and the efficiency of the plan. One of the ways that can be used in project management is the critical path method. The required path method calculates the amount of time that a project needs, the estimated finishing time, and the number of adjustments a project can make without disturbing the whole plan. The method uses the earliest start, earliest, finish, latest start, and latest finish to determine the duration of a project. It also calculates the total float and free float, which identifies how much time can be adjusted for the project (Simmons, 2002).
This paper will discuss the project if the whole activity can be finished within 40 weeks. The given variables are the assumed duration of activity A within three weeks; activity B within 12 weeks; and activity C within 13 weeks. Activity A starts the project and proceeds to activities B, D, and C. Activity B connects the longest path; it connects to activity E, which connects to activity G down to the end of the path which is activity H. Activity D connects immediately to activity G. The bottom line in the path is activity C which directly hooks to activity F that reaches the end of the path, activity H. The project's critical path is the line of activities A, B, E, G, and H. This path contains five activities that have their designated time to finish. Unlike the critical path, the path of activities A, D, G, H, and activities A, C, F, H are shorter and would probably take lesser time.
