Achieving control and leading other people, groups, and organizations require one to employ their technical expertise, leadership qualities, and professionalism to be an excellent leader. However, according to David Dollish and Peter Cairo’s book (2003), leadership failure is imminent due to various leadership weaknesses. Leadership derailers such as taking excessive caution, perfectionism, and eagerness to please characterize my leadership. Nevertheless, discovering them helps me become a better leader in the following ways.
Understanding the leadership derailers helps me learn my leadership style, enabling me to improve on the weaknesses that characterize it.
