The Gulf Bank of Kuwait is the second largest bank in Kuwait and was established in 1960. It is headquartered in Kuwait City and has a network of 56 branches across the country. Its management structure features the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief General Manager, General Managers in charge of board affairs, finance and support, corporate banking, human resources, international banking and investments, consumer banking, legal matters, and treasury. In addition, there is also the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and 2 Deputy General Managers for IT and Internal Audit (Kuwait Report, 2012). These managers conduct four essential functions that include planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.
