My area of interest is leadership in the healthcare industry. The stakeholders in this industry who would be reluctant to societal change are patients, providers, policymakers, the media, and the research community. These stakeholders have different perspectives in relation to the interests and requirements and the latter in the positive and negative sense (Hearld et al., 2012). This makes identifying and analyzing their viewpoints and objectives critical to the sustainability of a long-term joint endeavor with a purpose, such as a clinical registry. Patients are imperative in the healthcare industry because they are the primary recipients of the insights obtained and the contributors of individual clinical data. Providers are generally physicians who help in providing medical care. On the other hand, the policymakers play a significant role in identifying the industry's goal and ensuring the right direction is followed. The media helps uphold the reputation of the sector, while the research community helps find solutions to the overall healthcare industry.
Social change is the ongoing conversion of ethnic and communal organizations due to human encounters and connections, which have a momentous impact on civilization. Scholar–practitioners are engrossed in influencing social change as a whole. These individuals are social justice and cultural sensitivity intellectuals who strive to bring positive change in places they have decided to invest in (Lombardozzi, 2013). Therefore, the scholar-practitioner approach is resistant to societal change. The approach aims to make the environment supportive of health through radical health promotion and enabling people to enjoy better health, which means that social change has to incorporate certain aspects to be considered adequate. But to some extent, because the change does not include educational, medical, or empowerment aspects, its approval is likely to fail.
