Conflict and negotiation are two fundamental aspects of running a business. Negotiation is the process of taking into account each person's point of view on a topic and attempting to reach an agreement that benefits both parties. Conflict may happen between business owners and their partners and between the public, management, and employees. Negotiation is usually necessary to establish a mutually agreed solution for all parties involved in a problem. Hence, most businesses must deal with external conflicts and disagreements. However, small companies avoid internal disagreements and arguments since proprietors are entirely responsible for company operations (Mayer & Voeth, 2021).
