Creating a Culture of Innovation Student’s Name Institution Course Due Date CREATING A CULTURE OF INNOVATION Describe the characteristics of the people you would want to work at your company, concerning the culture you are trying to cultivate. Good positive organizational culture is vital because no employee would desire to work in a toxic environment. When there is negativity in an organization, employees are likely to transfer to other organizations (Herzog, 2011). A good organization culture ensures that there are high productivity and low turnovers. In this case, it is vital for me to have employees with excellent characteristics especially when it comes to the organization culture that the company is trying to achieve. Therefore some of the desired characteristics of people I would want to associate with include the following. This is because an organization that wants to achieve a positive organizational culture is not supposed to tolerate any form of unethical practices or dishonesty and if there are such cases, immediate actions should be adopted to eliminate them. Identify two (2) leadership qualities you would look for in employees. What do their background and previous experience look like? Leadership is crucial for any organization. A good definition of a good leader can be a person who coaches and builds teams, inspires and motivates people, ensures that the vision of an institution is achieved and creates a fulfilling sight for the future of the company. There are two qualities that I always believe should be evident in any great leader (McKee, Kemp, & Spence, 2012). That includes vision and inspiration. Having a vision means that a leader can see the big picture of where the company is heading. Such a ...
