Introduction
Today, the internet has become a very significant part of life. Globally, the internet is used by approximately 3.8 billion people (Internet World Stats, 2021). Recently, studies seeking the effects of internet addiction on mental health have been done. These studies have shown a direct correlation between internet addiction and personality and psychotic disorders.

Using the internet gives a fulfilling feeling by activating dopamine. Most likely, using the internet predisposes one to addiction, as the pressure is intense. Once the mind is occupied with the content on the internet, it will want to experience the 'good' feeling again and again (Berte et al., 2021).
