In the article Renaming John Wayne Airport shouldn’t be a hard call by Helaine Olen published in the news outlet the Washington Post, Olen argues with facts and examples that to alter the airport’s name should not be much of a deal. The airport bears the name of a renowned actor and an open white supremacist, John Wayne. Olen reflects on the decision by the executives of the then Bop Hope airport to drop the comedian's name in search of massive customer attraction and to achieve financial milestones.
