"The Semplica Girl Diaries" is a fantastic short story written by author George Saunders. Author George uses an epistolary style to explain the actions of the characters. However, this story's main character is nameless and uses this journal to clarify his mind, deepest longings, and hidden anxieties. The narrator of the story is the keeper of the diary, which forms the story's context. Having just turned forty, the writer "embarks on a grand writing project every day" in a black book at OfficeMax. At a rate of one page per day, the authors intend to have written three hundred and sixty-five pages in one year. The author wishes that his diary is saved for future generations.
In "Semplica Girl Diaries," kindness is taken as an act of being immoral. However, Eva is sensitive and empathetic as she hates to see people suffering from injustices; this makes her take appropriate actions.
