While some insist on putting on uniforms, others prefer that students wear casual clothes when going to school. Different perspectives circulate regarding what students should wear when going to school. Those who prefer uniforms believe that it represents oneness or uniformity. On the other hand, those who prefer casual clothes believe that students will be more comfortable in casual clothes. Regardless of the above, students should put on school uniforms because it helps signify equality, gives students a sense of belonging, and showcases the beauty of a school’s culture.
Why should students put on school uniforms? Well, there are various reasons why students should put on school uniforms when going to school. First and foremost, students should put on school uniforms to signify equality. When students put on school uniforms, it will help show that they are all equal. Additionally, they will look more presentable. However, when they put on casual clothes, this would showcase their financial backgrounds. Some students will come dressed in fancy clothes whereas others will put on what they have. Hence, this would show that some students are affluent while others are not. Moreover, it would be easy for teachers to enact discrimination in that they may choose to treat wealthy students better than those who are not wealthy.
